Is Facebook Growing Up Too Fast?
New York Times, March 29, 2009 — WHEN Facebook signed up its 100 millionth member last August, its employees spread out in two parks in Palo Alto, Calif., for a huge barbecue. Sometime this week, this five-year-old start-up, born in a dorm room at Harvard, expects to register its 200 millionth user.
That staggering growth rate — doubling in size in just eight months — suggests Facebook is rapidly becoming the Web’s dominant social ecosystem and an essential personal and business networking tool in much of the wired world.

Facebook is maybe growing to fast for the Administrators to manage. It seems that the enviroment it was create for is being held at bay of the ability to network and/or create acceptable or deniable friendship at the risk of the user. In my time on facebook, I have had the page I designed "Disabled" now twice for connecting with multiple friends, ex-coworkers and community organizers whom I have had a relationship with for several years; along with those that are interested in the page dialogue. The page after getting a "warning" was shut down this time just for getting a warning and not even breaching it... But, for those other than the president whom campaigned from the site and those whom have a great realtionship with the site this must be due to only speaking with there immediate family members. So, that makes it a great enviroment if they do not go outside that box of contacts.. Yet, the denial in the user(s) connections and abilities in making contacts are bit much: Especially being, that the site was designed and established to develop relationship? Yet, the "Rules and/or Codes of Conduct are not even clearly defined, so to prevent the user from default nor warnings. The very first time I breached the warnings recieved - the page was down for nearly three weeks. After recieving the "warnings" unnecessarially the second time and posting on one of the site blogs for the answer(s); what I - recieved was the page being disabled. In my request for a time table on this issue and the non-breach/violation nothing has been stated as to when the page will be visable and/or usable again.. This kind of makes you wonder? What are the limits on how many friends and/or contacts anyone person on the site can request or have? Or is there a limit to what one can say on Facebook at any one partcular time before being "Disabled"? Other users can disconnect if they desire to?
